The WCKA Llanelli

Welcome to the Welsh Contact Karate Association (WCKA) Llanelli. Contact Karate, also known as Kickboxing, is a freestyle version of the more traditional Karate Kumate. The WCKA organises some of the biggest open competitions in Wales due to its links with WAKO and WKU and is arguably one of the strongest fighting teams on the UK circuit. The WCKA is one of the largest Sports Council recognised Martial Arts Organisation in Wales and as a result each and every instructor has recognised qualifications in coaching. Each class offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, catering for students of any ability. In our class you will have to opportunity to learn new skills, you will develop your fitness, grow in confidence and of course learn self-defence.

WCKA Llanelli is run by Beth Williams, a qualified coach with appropriate indemnity insurance, has undertaken Child Protection courses, is First Aid trained and qualified with enhanced DBS checks. In addition, all WCKA instructors attend externally run Seminars by International Martial Artists and are continually introducing new and exciting techniques and combinations into the classroom.

Beth Williams has practiced the art of contact karate for more than 9 years, has had the privilege of represented Wales in three major competitions, winning 7 gold medals, has fought for the WCKA in competitions throughout the UK, and has held first place world rankings in both the WOMMA Welsh Open held in Cardiff and WKU Worlds in Ireland & Cardiff for Full Contact, Light Contact and Points fights, defeating opponents from around the world, and has also held the title of WCKA Grand Champion.
